Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Huey draws deeply from Southern folk and rock traditions. After eight years of performing in various projects—most notably her full band, Huey & The Heaven-sent—she has become a familiar name in the Atlanta music scene. Atwood Magazine praised her for “bringing diversity to what people perceive Southern music to be” following the release of How to Keep Things Alive.
Known for her emotionally sharp, honest songwriting, Huey pairs heart-clenching lyrics with vocals reminiscent of Dolores O’Riordan. Songs like “Potential Missed” and “Losing Me” show her knack for writing hooks without sacrificing depth. With a touch of Nashville twang and a ’90s edge, she’s carved out a sound all her own. Her biggest influences include Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Nick Drake, Adrianne Lenker, and—true to her roots—the Indigo Girls.
Jacob Kynard from Pine Hill, AL has spent a few years driving around playing songs in backyards, bars, churches, nursing homes, and vape stores. He’s recording a debut album at Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, MS produced by Matt Patton (Drive-By Truckers) and featuring John Smith (Dexateens) on lead guitar. He's hoping that you'll give it a listen and you've got a spare bed or soft piece of floor for the night.
