From the dawn of time, BIPOC folks have been excluded in cosplay spaces. Unfortunately it is still common to hear the phrase “but ______ isn’t black!” or “there aren’t any brown folks in ______ fandom!” at nerdy functions. To that we say NOPE - we belong here! Cosplay and fandoms are for ALL!
