Providence, Rhode Island’s Jake Hunsinger & The Rock Bottom Band are self-proclaimed history buffs whose deep appreciation for the past shapes their progressive take on American roots music. The four-piece—Jake Hunsinger (vocals/songwriting), Andrew Donnelly (guitar), Zack Wedge (drums), and Jamie Doyle (bass)—blend historical influences with a modern edge. Hunsinger crafts unique chord patterns and song structures rooted in generations of American songwriting while voicing a distinctly Gen Z/Millennial perspective. His vocal style traces country music’s evolution from Vernon Dalhart to Garth Brooks. Similarly, Wedge, a jazz-trained drummer, delves into the history and cultural significance of his craft, adding depth to the band's sound.
