The FMs//Sex Coffee // So Over It

  • Myrtle 134 Waterman Avenue East Providence, RI, 02914 United States (map)

The FMs, a Brooklyn and Ithaca, NY hard-candy synth punk band, are recognized for their politically charged pop and their embodiment of queer music, blending sex, subversion, and style. Founded by trans-girl Matte Namer (she/they) and trans-man Frankie Rex, they built a community through their DIY "SVBVERT" shows and self-produced multiple LPs on an old ferry boat. Following the tragic loss of Frankie Rex, Matte Namer reformed The FMs in 2024 as a 4pc with all trans girl musicians, playing live shows across the northeast while honoring Frankie's legacy. With a sound that draws inspiration from dream-wave, industrial & alt/indie rock, The FMs are returning with renewed energy, creating new material and performing electrifying live performances.

SexCoffee is a hard rock band from Providence, RI that is best served live, loud, and hot! The band name was established in 2007 by singer, Ruth Charbonneau and bassist, Sharlene DeNardo, after rising from the ashes of all-girl indie rock band 5FOX4. SexCoffee has evolved over their 10 year span, stretching from the garage rock tone of their first full length album The Drink You Paid For, to their award-winning crossover funk rock EP The Morning After.

So Over It So Over It is a queer punk band from Rhode Island. The music is influenced by personal experiences with coming out, being trans, identity, trauma, mental health, and self acceptance
